The most important aspect of therapy is establishing a connection based on trust and authenticity in a safe, non-judgmental environment--A space where you feel seen and heard, and one that nurtures hopefulness. I've created that space for you, to help provide a new perspective that increases awareness and empowers you to create change in your life.
I am experienced working with clients on a wide range of issues, and have specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness-informed, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to help you break cycles of unhealthy coping, minimize how past negative experiences impact your functioning in the present and allow you to feel more at ease with yourself.
My counseling style uses evidence-based practices with a holistic approach, and a human touch. With a clinical background in psychanalytic psychotherapy, and robust understanding of trauma and its unconscious effects of human behavior, I can support you in building emotional intelligence and connecting with that calm, wise and compassionate self that thrives when healed and nurtured. I understand that wellness encompasses your physical, emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing and recognize the benefits of mind-body practices such as breath work, yoga, meditation, exercise and self care as part of achieving optimal health.
